The Organization Junior Achievement Cyprus in collaboration with LIDL Cyprus, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, offer for the third consecutive year the Mind REset programme to students of the 5th and 6th grade of Primary Schools and 1st and 2nd grade of Gymnasium.
Mind REset is a pedagogical and interactive programme consisting of five lessons. The programme aims to introduce students to the world of environmental entrepreneurship and help them develop skills that will contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment. In addition, students will be asked to recognize the effects of the use of plastics in everyday life and to propose practical and sustainable solutions towards the protection and preservation of the environment.
In addition, students will be introduced to the exciting field of environmental entrepreneurship and promote their own ideas and products. This programme has allowed more than 6000 students so far to have a great and successful experience.
The two teams that emerged as Mind Resetters of the year 2023, one from Livadia Primary School and one from OLYMPION High School, had the chance of attending an educational experience in Greece. Their ideas and presentations impressed the jury and all the attendees as they not only successfully completed the programme but found constructive solutions to protect the environment.
The official launch of the programme was marked with the teachers’ training on the 16th of October 2023, which took place at the Lidl Food Academy. During the training, teachers were informed about the content and methodology of the programme, received the training material and had opportunities for networking.
JA Cyprus thanks the inspiring teachers who lead the way and educate the children, as the future citizens of Cyprus, in sustainable development.
