Junior Achievement Launches Company Programme for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
18 September 2026
Junior Achievement Cyprus is proud to announce the launch of the Company Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year, giving students the opportunity to design, launch, and run their own real-world companies from the ground up.
The Company Programme challenges student teams to develop a business idea, build a working company structure, manage a budget, and bring a genuine product or service to market; all within a single academic year. Participants take on real roles such as Managing Director, Finance Director, and Marketing Director, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, teamwork, and financial literacy.
Throughout the year, participants will receive mentorship from local business professionals guiding them in the competition. The Company Programme is designed to build essential skills in leadership, financial management, and innovation, preparing students for future careers by giving them a genuine taste of running a business.
Last year was particularly successful, with 91 student companies from 51 schools across Cyprus taking part. Cyprus’s national winning team, HerShield, has achieved third place in the JA Europe Company of the Year competition. This year, we aim to extend this opportunity to even more schools and young people.
This year’s programme kicks off with an introductory online session for secondary teachers on the 29th of September.
The Company Programme is supported by the following:
- Strategic Partner: PwC Cyprus, Youth Board of Cyprus
- Partners: XM, Coffee Island
- Supporters: Ministry of Energy, Commerce & Industry, Amdocs, Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus, Research and Innovation Foundation
- Institutional Partner: Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth
