eWise Cyprus Ltd-Esso and Junior Achievement Cyprus collaborate to empower female youth entrepreneurship

With the common goal of empowering young women and strengthening their presence in the field of entrepreneurship and leadership, eWise Cyprus Ltd-Esso and Junior Achievement Cyprus (JA Cyprus) announce their collaboration, creating new opportunities for the recognition and promotion of women’s youth entrepreneurship.

At the heart of the collaboration is the creation of the “Female Leadership of the Year Awards”, two special awards that will be awarded in the context of two of JA Cyprus’ leading youth entrepreneurship programmes: the Company Programme, aimed at secondary school students, and the JA StartUp Programme, aimed at students.

The new awards aim to highlight and reward young women who stand out for their leadership, initiative, creativity and contribution to the development of their business teams. At the same time, they seek to encourage more girls and young women to take on active and leadership roles, to express their ideas confidently and to claim their place in the business world.

The basis for these awards was the statistical data observed in our country. Although women represent 50% of business managers in the Junior Achievement programmes, in the business life of Cyprus they constitute only 15%.

Through the Company Programme, students create and operate their own real student business, going through all the basic stages of developing a business idea. Similarly, through the JA StartUp Programme, students have the opportunity to develop their own business proposals, test their ideas in practice and cultivate skills that are necessary for their future professional and business career.

The creation of the Female Leadership of the Year Awards adds another important dimension to the two programs, with a special emphasis on highlighting female leadership models through the new generation itself. The aim is for the awards to serve not only as a recognition of effort and excellence, but also as a source of inspiration for more young women who wish to be active in entrepreneurship, innovation and decision-making

The Female Leadership of the Year Awards will be presented during the academic year as part of the Company Programme and the JA StartUp Programme, highlighting one participant in each program for her leadership presence and contribution to her business team.

With this new partnership, eWise Cyprus Ltd-Esso and Junior Achievement Cyprus are investing in the next generation of women entrepreneurs and leaders, helping to create an environment where more young women have the opportunity to dare, create, lead and evolve.
