JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CYPRUS 2021-2022 INNOVATION CAMP “EVOLVE”

On Tuesday, 14 December 2021, Junior Achievement Cyprus will host the award winning Innovation Camp, which will take place from 08:30 – 18:30 at POED Premises, Nicosia. The Innovation Camp “EVOLVE” aims at encouraging young people to use their skills in enterprising and innovative ways, fostering their employability and entrepreneurial flair in the process.

During this special event, 100 students coming from both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot backgrounds, aged between 15 and 18, from private high schools from all over Cyprus, will have the chance to come together and cooperate in suggesting an innovative idea towards a challenge that will be given on their arrival. Students will have only a few hours to learn to work as a team with other students they have not met before and to collectively shape their ideas, in order to propose an innovative solution that could be applied to the case of Cyprus. At the end of the day, all teams will present their solutions to a panel of successful and experienced entrepreneurs. The winning team will take part in an international student programme next summer, while the second and third place winners will receive gifts.

The whole event will be supported from mentors coming from the entrepreneurial community of Cyprus. The mentors will work with the students and support them when developing their ideas and presentations.

The students will be accompanied by their teachers, whom they will also have the very interesting opportunity to participate in an Entrepreneurial Teachers’ Training and workshop.

The event is supported by the Embassy of the United States in Cyprus. Junior Achievement Cyprus would like to express their warm thanks.
