JA CYPRUS COMPANY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION 2023 FINALE & AWARD CEREMONY

You are cordially invited to the final competition and award ceremony of the “JA Cyprus Company of the Year 2023.” This annual competition, organized for the 10th consecutive year by Junior Achievement Cyprus, will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Royall Hall in Nicosia.

This event is particularly significant as we will not only be hosting the final competition but also celebrating the ten-year anniversary of our organization. This year is especially noteworthy, as it marks a decade since the establishment of our organization. Over the past ten years, we have worked hard to foster entrepreneurship and leadership skills in young people, empowering them to pursue their dreams and make a difference in society.

JA Cyprus is excited to welcome you to our upcoming event, to praise the success of our young entrepreneurs and at the same time celebrate our organization’s 10th anniversary. Our event promises to be a joyous and inspirational occasion.

During this special event, the 10 finalists – out of the 53 student companies created under the Company Programme – will pitch their entrepreneurial ideas to the esteemed jury committee in an attempt to secure the title of the JA Cyprus Company of the Year 2023. The winning team will travel to Istanbul in July 2023 to represent Cyprus at the JA Europe GEN-E Festival.

Apart from the main title of JA Cyprus Company of the Year, and the first and second runner-up awards, the student entrepreneurs will receive signature awards for their achievements in key areas of entrepreneurial activities. The most innovative product/service, the best branding and communication strategy, the best-selling product/service, the best logo, and the best company report, are some of the special awards that will be offered to JA Cyprus’ highly-talented students.

The Ceremony will be greeted by the Honorable Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Dr. Athena Michaelidou.

Through the Company Programme, students, aged 15-18, are offered the opportunity to learn through experience how to take a business idea, from concept to actuality, by forming and running their own real companies for a whole academic year. The programme aims at equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for a successful professional career in a globalized economy.
