Young entrepreneurs showcase their innovative products to tackle health challenges
Health challenges require a multidimensional approach, with different forms of action to address them effectively. Innovation, cooperation and continuous development are key to progress in this area, and it is important to encourage young people to develop innovative solutions that meet society’s needs.
Junior Achievement Cyprus with the support of the following partners/organizations: Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, Cocoon Creations, CYENS Centre of Excellence, Cyprus Federation of Patient Associations (OSAC), Cyprus Oncology Society, Cyprus Seeds, Gravity Ventures, Idea Innovation Centre, Karaiskakio Foundation, Kinisis Ventures, implements the Beyond Pre-Accelerator programme for the third year in Cyprus.
This initiative aims to foster innovation and collaboration between young entrepreneurs, scientists and healthcare professionals, offering them the opportunity to develop solutions that will help address critical health challenges. More specifically, the program invites students and young professionals to propose innovative solutions related to Prevention, Early Diagnosis, Treatment, Psychosocial Support, Reintegration, Palliative Care and Health Research.
The youth teams created within the framework of the program are ready to present their business models and products to the public during the Beyond Pre-Accelerator Demo Day that will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 14:00 – 17:30 at ASBIS TECH CLUSTER in Limassol (Iapetou 1 4101, Ag. Athanasios). The event is open to the public by booking a place at the link HERE until 09/03/2025.
The Beyond Pre-Accelerator program serves as a bridge between entrepreneurship training programs implemented at universities or by other institutions and specialized Incubators and Accelerators (Business Idea Incubators and Startup Accelerators). Essentially, students of all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD) are guided through the program to develop their own business ideas in the health sector, going as far as creating a product in its simplest commercial form (Minimum Viable Product).
The programme is sponsored by Novartis Pharma Services Inc. Cyprus.
