Teachers in the Role of Students: Entrepreneurial Education through Experiential Learning

A two-day event for teachers, full of inspiration, learning and creativity, was successfully completed in Platres. On October 25 and 26, 2025, as part of the teacher training seminar for the “Company Programme” of Junior Achievement Cyprus, the teachers lived an authentic, hands-on experience of the stages of the program, as their students live it every year.

The training was organized by JA Cyprus in collaboration with the JA Alumni Cyprus Network, utilizing the experience and dynamics of the alumni who continue to actively support the organization’s educational mission.

The attendees experienced all the stages that their students go through in the “Company Programme”: from the conception of the idea and the product design, to the presentation of the final “business”. Through hands-on activities, collaboration, and creative thinking, the teams presented impressive ideas, affirming their passion and dedication to the mission of education.

The seminar was a modern training opportunity, but also a reminder of the importance of active and participatory learning. Our teachers returned to their classrooms with fresh ideas, enthusiasm and tools to convey the philosophy of the programme to their students, giving them the opportunity to learn through practice, collaboration and innovation.

Junior Achievement Cyprus warmly thanks all the teachers who participated and continue to support the work of the organization, cultivating entrepreneurial thinking in the classrooms and empowering the new generation. The program was carried out with the support of our partners: Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, PwC Cyprus, MetLife Cyprus, Research and Innovation Foundation, Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus,  PHC and Amdocs Cyprus.

JA Cyprus is a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide, the world’s largest non-profit organization that prepares young people for success through entrepreneurship, financial literacy and career readiness.
