Protocol for Collaboration JA CYPRUS and MOEC

As part of their long-standing cooperation, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, and Junior Achievement Cyprus signed, on 24 February 2023, a five-year Protocol for Collaboration.

We welcome this very important agreement as, above all, we believe that in this way students will be supported to develop entrepreneurial skills, which according to the European Commission are a top priority for preparing students for the market of work and a key factor of economic and social transformation, but of course, it is also a recognition of the ten years of contribution and action of our Organization in Cyprus.

The purpose of the Protocol for Collaboration is to promote cooperation between the two entities and to create, strengthen and expand a functional and effective cooperation framework to support entrepreneurial education at all levels (Primary, Secondary, Technical), promoting the development of skills of young people in the areas of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and preparation for the labor market.

Entrepreneurial Education develops new skills, cultivates entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking, and equips young people with self-confidence and responsibility. Entrepreneurship is now recognized as one of the key skills that the education system must provide, and Entrepreneurial Education is now central to public policies for the Educational systems.

We hope that with this partnership we will both achieve the goal of inspiring and preparing young people to create thriving communities and at the same time to succeed in the global economy.

The Protocol for Collaboration was signed by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Neophytos Papadopoulos on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Sports and, Youth and, on behalf of the JA Cyprus Organization Mr. Andreas Papadopoulos, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
