Over 400 student entrepreneurs took part at the 9th Company Programme Trade Fair organized by Junior Achievement Cyprus
On April 2nd & 3rd, the 9th Company Programme Trade Fair organized by Junior Achievement Cyprus, took place at The Mall of Cyprus, Nicosia. During the Fair, over 400 student entrepreneurs, aged 15-18, from all over Cyprus, representing 50 student companies, successfully showcased and sold their innovative products and services. The Commissioner for the Citizen, Mr. Panayiotis Sentonas, the Head of Secondary Education, Dr. Kyprianos Louis and the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr Andreas Papadopoulos welcomed the students during the opening ceremony.
At this time the Jury Committee visited the student company stands, interviewed the students, and evaluated their ideas. This was part of the overall assessment that will reveal the 10 finalists who will move on to pitch their ideas at the Company of the Year Competition Finale and Award Ceremony on the 6th of May 2022 at Royal Hall in Nicosia.
The student companies, NUTRICA+ from Agiou Georgiou Lakatamias and SPARKIDz from Pascal English School Nicosia, were awarded the Best Stand Award for the most creative stand. The awards were kindly offered by Astrobank.
The ten companies that will present their ideas in the Finals in order to claim the title of the ‘Company of the Year 2022’ are:
- Éthérée
- FOLK IN A BOX
- Hemp+
- JAMICS
- NUTRICA+
- PARKING TEK
- saveadogcy
- SNEAKLEAN

The winning team will represent Cyprus at the European Finals that will be held in Estonia in July 2022.
The student companies were formed as part of the Company Programme that runs in the public and private schools across Cyprus for the 9th consecutive year. Through this programme, students are offered the opportunity to learn through experience how to take a business idea from concept to reality, by forming and running their own real companies for a whole academic year. The programme aims at equipping students with entrepreneurial, financial literacy and work readiness skills in order to help them become successful at the global economy and to empower them with the values and life skills that will enable them to succeed both personally and professionally.
