JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CYPRUS (JA Cyprus), is a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide, one of the largest global NGOs dedicated to addressing fundamental social and economic challenges of young people by educating and empowering them to transform their future and own their economic success. Through our programmes we address the development of entrepreneurial, financial literacy and work readiness skills of young people!

We are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic full-time Communications Officer with a passion for education and entrepreneurship, to take the communication of JA work and impact.

Job Vacancy Announcement: Communications Officer

Are you passionate about effective communication and have a keen eye for design? Join our dynamic team as a Communications Officer! We are seeking a talented individual to contribute to our organization’s success by managing various communication channels and implementing strategic communication plans. We need you to make sure that the world knows the impact of JA!

Responsibilities:

  • Creating the communication strategy for JA Cyprus
  • Developing and executing the communication plans for each educational programme
  • Drafting compelling and impactful press releases in both English and Greek
  • Writing inspiring articles regarding JA work
  • Ensuring timely distribution to relevant media outlets
  • Collaborating with JA team members to ensure consistency in messaging
  • Regularly updating and maintaining the organization’s website
  • Handling and managing the organization’s social media platforms
  • Identifying media exposures, editing, and uploading content to enhance online presence
  • Editing podcasts and other video content for professional presentation
  • Creating visually appealing banners, roll-ups, certificates, name tags, and flyers
  • Maintaining a consistent and attractive visual identity for the organization
  • Designing newsletters on a quarterly basis
  • Managing the distribution process to keep stakeholders informed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Proven experience in communication strategy development and execution.
  • Proficiency in English and Greek (both written and verbal).
  • Strong editing and design skills.
  • Familiarity with social media management systems and video editing software.

Conditions of contract

  • Full-time work (six-month probationary period)
  • Start date is 1st February 2024
