JA Cyprus and Lidl Cyprus unite forces for the 5th consecutive year: Official Opening of the updated mindREset programme
The Organization Junior Achievement Cyprus in collaboration with LIDL Cyprus, with the constitutional support of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Enviroment offer for the fifth consecutive year the Mind REset programme to students of the 5th and 6th grade of Primary Schools and 1st and 2nd grade of Gymnasium.
Mind REset is a pedagogical and interactive programme consisting of five lessons. The programme aims to introduce students to the world of environmental entrepreneurship and help them develop skills that will contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment. In addition, students will be asked to recognize the effects of the use of food waste in everyday life and to propose practical and sustainable solutions towards the careful use of resources.
In addition, students will be introduced to the exciting field of environmental entrepreneurship and promote their own ideas and products. This programme has allowed more than 12.500 students so far to have a great and successful experience.
As part of last year’s programme, two student teams from Agia Varvara Primary School and Apostolos Andreas Empa Gymnasium were distinguished as the Mind Resetters of the Year 2025. Their innovative ideas for environmental protection impressed the judging panel and earned them the grand prize – an educational trip to Austria, where they went on to win two additional major awards.
The official launch of the Mind REset programme was marked by the two teacher training seminars held on October 16 and 17, 2025, in Nicosia and Limassol, respectively.
The sessions took place at the Old Pallouriotissa Market, with the valuable support of the Municipality of Nicosia, and at the Frederick University Amphitheatre in Limassol. Educators from across Cyprus provided with essential guidance and educational resources to effectively implement the programme in their schools. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with fellow teachers.
Mind REset transformed, renewed, and made a bold comeback with a fresh thematic focus. Its commitment, passion, and experiential learning methodology remain the same. We’re shifting from exploring the impact of plastic on our lives to the hot topic of Resource Conservation-specifically, Food Waste-while maintaining our dedication to environmental impact. On this new path, we’re not alone. We walk alongside Lidl Cyprus for the careful use of resources!
