JA Cyprus Alumni Participate in the 12th Annual JA Alumni Europe International Conference
The winners of the first Bi-communal Innovation Camp, organized last year by Junior Achievement Cyprus, took part in the 12th JA Alumni Europe International Conference that took place between 19-23 August in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is an annual networking event and its main mission consists of bringing together young people with a strong interest in entrepreneurship, thereby encouraging shared interactions between them.
More than 150 young people ranging in age, from 25 different countries with previous experience in Junior Achievement programmes, gathered in the Danish capital to re-connect with good friends, meet new people with common interests, exchange views and have fun. Innovative workshops, guest speakers from industry, visits to start-ups and many other social activities, resulted in an overall amazing experience.
Elpida Phithak from Cyprus, regards her participation in the conference as one of the most memorable experiences of her life, and underlines that the most important thing she was taught is that “there is no need to see the top of the staircase; just take the first step”.
The JA Europe Alumni network is growing, acquiring more members every year, thus proving that entrepreneurship is a continuous journey without geographical borders and that programmes such as the Company Programme, represent the “first step” of a life-long adventure…
