The numbers of 2025
During this year’s event, the programme will take place in 18 Gymnasiums, with the participation of a total of 853 students. Through a combination of knowledge, interactive activities and play, participants gain basic information and skills around concepts such as the economy, money, borrowing, cards, consumer choices and the labor market.
The success of the programme is based on the contribution and enthusiasm of the 34 professionals who work in member banks of the Association of Banks and participate voluntarily, leaving their office to be next to the students. In collaboration with the teachers of the schools, they implement the programme that is approved and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
Commitment to financial literacy
The Association of Cyprus Banks has been investing over time in the financial literacy of the new generation, integrating the “Economics for Success” programme into the wider framework of actions and initiatives it implements in this sector.
Similarly, JA Cyprus, as the pre-eminent organization for entrepreneurship education and youth employability skills development, pays particular attention to the development of programmes that equip young people with knowledge and tools for the future.
This cooperation demonstrates the value and positive impact that the synergy of banks and educational institutions can have on society, benefiting both young people and the wider economy.
