9th Junior Achievement Cyprus Student Company Trade Fair
Junior Achievement Cyprus announces the organization of the 9th Student Company Trade Fair on the weekend 2-3 April 2022 at Mall of Cyprus (Nicosia). After two years, Trade Fare will be held physically and it will be an excellent opportunity for ideas exchanging among young people of Cyprus.
The last two years students were called to deal with demanding and difficult conditions not only for the implementation of their programme but also for their day life, due to spreading of Covid-19. Distancing has been one of the most serious consequences for society and we believe that the forthcoming Trade Fair will help to alleviate it.
During the Trade Fair, over 400 talented student entrepreneurs, aged 15-18, from all over Cyprus, representing more than 50 student companies, will have the opportunity to participate in a business celebration where innovation, creativity and youthfulness will prevail. This year 28 schools are participating in the programme, with the support of more than 50 teachers.
During the two days the participants will present their innovative products and services in the specially designed stands. Experienced jury members will evaluate the business ideas of the students as well as the quality of each team stand. This assessment will play a key role in deciding the 10 finalists that will move on to pitch their ideas at the Company of the Year Competition Finale and Award Ceremony on the 6th of May 2022. The 10 finalist teams will be announced on the 11th of April 2022.
The Student Company Trade Fair is the peak of Company Programme, where students are offered the opportunity to learn through experience how to take a viable business idea, from concept to reality, by forming and running their own real companies for a whole academic year.
The programme aims at equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to build their own successful enterprises in the future, increase their employability skills and, in general, succeed in whatever they decide to do.
