A New JA Cyprus Programme to Launch in Primary Schools
With the aim of expanding its outreach, JA Cyprus will pilot a new programme in primary schools, entitled “More than Money”. This is scheduled for the first half of 2016, and is taking place thanks to the financial support of the Association of Cyprus Banks.
”More than Money” aims at familiarizing students, aged 10-12, with concepts related to the handling of money, such as the management of income, expenses and savings. Through the programme, students develop skills and discover their interests in various future professions and specializations. Moreover, they come to understand the role of money in their everyday lives, and learn ways to effectively manage their own income, thus, becoming “smart” consumers along the way.
The programme will be piloted in five primary schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture and will be supported by volunteer mentors from the Association of Cyprus Banks.
