12th Junior Achievement Cyprus Company Programme Trade Fair

Next-Gen Entrepreneurs unveil inspiring ideas

More than 470 students aged 15-18 participated in the 12th Trade Fair of Junior Achievement Cyprus, which took place on March 29th and 30th, 2025 at Mall of Cyprus. The young entrepreneurs representing 68 student companies from 37 schools across Cyprus, presented and offered their innovative products and services to the public. The event was greeted by Mrs. Jannet Hadjiosif on behalf of the Ministry of Education’s Department of Secondary Education.

The JA Cyprus Trade Fair 2025 wouldn’t have been the same without our amazing jury committee, who brought their expertise, wisdom, and good vibes to the event! Vas Joseph – Freyia Labs, Alexandra Dimitriadou – Mammocheck, John Mavris – UCY, Petros Maroudias – PwC, Maria Chamberlain – Ministry of Commerce, Andreas Touloupis – Metlife, Avramis Despotis – MOEC, Michalis Strouthos – Cocoon Creations , Christina Flourentzou – Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, Maria Evgeniou – IDEA Innovation Center, Constantinos Harilaou – Youth MakerSpace Larnaca, Andri Kyriacou – Synthesis.

During the fair, the Best Exhibition Stand award was presented to the teams with the most innovative and creative presence – one award for each of the two days. The first day, the award was won by team TRAXANAKIA (crackers from trahana) from Linopetra Lyceum. The team consisted of students Anaiti Georgia, Ioannou Styliana, Kyriacou Revekka, Neocleous Aristos, Papadopoulos Dimitris, Sergiou Maria, Christodoulou Iliana and their responsible teacher Dimitra Chari. The Best Exhibition Stand for the 2nd day was awarded to team playEDU (an online learning app) from Larnaca Apprenticeship School with the members: Andreou Marios, Euthimiou Athanasia, Stoyana Alexandrou Florin, Charalambous Christodoulos and their responsible teachers Christina Michaelidou and Chrystalla Kounna. The awards were powered by PwC Cyprus.

Moreover, for the third time, the Team Spirit Award was offered by JA Alumni Cyprus. The members of the association visited the stands of the students, evaluated their teamwork and selected team MindEaze (a mental health app) from Pascal English School Larnaca as the award’s winner with team members Mariam Abdulgader, Mazin Andrei, Razan Daham, Andreas Demetriou, Elena Georgiou, Mate Tohai, Alyssa Massos, Emilia Panteli, Konstantina Pantziarou, Eva Papadamou, under the guidance of their responsible teacher Eleni Malla.

The following ten highest-scoring teams will pitch their entrepreneurial ideas live in the Finale and Awards’ Ceremony of the Company of the Year Competition 2025 on the 30th of April 2025 at the Royal Hall Nicosia (the 10 teams are listed in alphabetical order):

  5. Market Pulse – Agios Spyridonas Lyceum – Kato Polemidia
  6. MindEaze – Pascal English School Larnaca
  7. NextStep – The English School
  8. Peellastic – Agios Georgios Larnaca Lyceum
  9. Traxanakia – Linopetra Lyceum
  10. ZeroCrumbs – Latsia Lyceum

The winning team which will be decided in the Finals on the 30th of April, will represent Cyprus at the European Competition Gen-E, which will be held in Athens,Creece in July 2024.

The student companies were created within the «Company Programme» implemented in Public and Private High Schools of Cyprus. This initiative provides students with hands-on experience in the workings of a business, enabling them to develop and implement their own innovative ideas, from initial conception to the creation of a fully-operating enterprise.
