The\u00a0<\/span>8th\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Trade Fair<\/span><\/b>\u00a0of the Junior Achievement Cyprus was held with great success. Due to the difficult conditions we are<\/span>\u00a0currently<\/span>\u00a0facing with the pandemic, the Trade Fair was held online on\u00a0<\/span>Saturday,\u00a0<\/span>April 10 with the participation of\u00a0<\/span>more than<\/span>\u00a0300 students<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>aged 15-18.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The young entrepreneurs represented 45 student companies\u00a0<\/span>that presented their innovative products and services to the public and they were even able to sell.\u00a0<\/span>The response of the\u00a0<\/span>audiense<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>was<\/span>\u00a0great. Nearly 1,000 people visited the\u00a0<\/span>students\u2019<\/span>\u00a0digital channels\u00a0<\/span>via<\/span>\u00a0the Organi<\/span>s<\/span>ation’s website.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A specialized jury visited the digital channels of the\u00a0<\/span>student\u00a0<\/span>companies and evaluated the<\/span>ir\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0business ideas. The ten companies that received the highest score are (in alphabetical order),\u00a0<\/span>ARTIQUE<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from English School Nicosia,\u00a0<\/span>CIPEN<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from American Academy Larnaca,\u00a0<\/span>EXOTICAR AROMATICS<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from Agios Georgios Lakatamias\u00a0<\/span>Lyceum<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>HERBO CUBES<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from GC School,\u00a0<\/span>MounTour<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from the Mitsi School of Lemythos,\u00a0<\/span>Quik Mealz<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from the International School of Paphos,\u00a0<\/span>SignPocket<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from the School for the Deaf<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>StAir<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from the Ethnomartyra<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0Kypriano<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>Lyceum<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Wash-a-ball<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from GC School of Careers and\u00a0<\/span>WECARE<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from Larnaca Technical School. The Competition<\/span>\u00a0Final<\/span> is scheduled to take place on May 28, 2021 at the Royal Hall, in Nicosia (following all the necessary <\/span>\u00a0pandemic\u00a0<\/span>protocols) and the winning team will represent Cyprus in the European Competition to be held digitally and\u00a0<\/span>be\u00a0<\/span>hosted by the Junior Achievement<\/span>\u00a0Lithuania<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the special circumstances, a new award was created for this year,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>namely<\/span>\u00a0\u201c<\/span>The\u00a0<\/span>Most Visited Channel\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>with the most audience.\u00a0 The<\/span>\u00a0teams that were awarded are\u00a0<\/span>Wash-a-ball of the G C School of Careers and Biotera of the Latsia\u00a0<\/span>Lyceum<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The student companies were created within the framework of the “<\/span>Company Programme<\/span>” implemented in the Public and Private High Schools of Cyprus. This program gives students the opportunity to discover in practice how a\u00a0<\/span>company<\/span>\u00a0works, to understand how a business idea is developed and implemented, from the stage of initial conception to the creation of their own business.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim of the program<\/span>me<\/span>\u00a0is to equip young\u00a0<\/span>people<\/span>\u00a0with knowledge and skills necessary for the labor market, for the development of their own<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>business and in general for their successful careers both professionally and personally.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
