The journey towards Europe’s biggest celebration of youth entrepreneurship begins! On Tuesday, July 7, 2026<\/strong>, the Cypriot delegation of Junior Achievement Cyprus departs for Riga, Latvia, participating in GEN-E 2026<\/strong>. The “HerShield<\/strong>” and “Livia<\/strong>” teams are preparing to present their innovative ideas and worthily represent Cyprus on its largest youth entrepreneurship and innovation stage Europe.<\/p>\n

GEN-E is much more than a competition; it’s a celebration of youthful innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Thousands of young people from all over Europe will meet in Riga to present their business ideas, be inspired, learn, network and compete for the title of “Best Student Company” and “Best StartUp” of the year.<\/p>\n

This year’s edition of GEN-E 2026 is hosted by JA Latvia, in the heart of Riga, from July 7 to 10, 2026. The national winners will have the opportunity to present their ideas in front of international judges, entrepreneurs, investors, educators and hundreds of young people from all over Europe.<\/p>\n

Cyprus will be represented by the student company “HerShield” from St. Mary’s School, which developed a discreet and elegant case in the form of lip gloss that includes tapes for the detection of substances in beverages, with the aim of enhancing the safety of women, as well as the university team “Livia”, which created a smart agrotechnological platform that utilizes satellite data,\u00a0 autonomous drones and artificial intelligence to support farmers and optimize their production.<\/p>\n

Cyprus declares itself “present” for another year, with faith in the potential of its teams and inspired by the important European distinctions of previous years. The Cyprus delegation is accompanied by representatives of the Organization’s partners, teachers, mentors, members of the Board of Directors of JA Cyprus and the Junior Achievement Cyprus team, who will support the teams throughout their European journey.<\/p>\n

The Organization expresses its warm thanks to the partners of the programs: PwC Cyprus, Cyprus Youth Board, MetLife Cyprus, Coffee Island, Research and Innovation Foundation, Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, Coca Cola HBC Cyprus and Amdocs, for their long-term support in empowering the new generation of entrepreneurs in Cyprus.<\/p>\n
