Junior Achievement Cyprus participated again this year in the international business event JA International Marketplace 2026, which took place in Vienna, Austria and was organized by Junior Achievement Austria. At this year’s event, 5 student teams from Cyprus had the opportunity to present their innovative business ideas and exchange experiences with dozens of student companies from all over Europe.

In total, 25 students along with 9 teachers participated in the event, experiencing a unique educational experience that combines entrepreneurship, creativity and international cooperation. During the exhibition, the teams presented their products and services at their booths, while they also participated in presentations in front of a jury and visitors of the event held at the Millenium City Shopping Center.

The teams were selected through Junior Achievement programmes that were completed in 205-2026 and are as follows:

The students from Cyprus stood out for the high level of their presentations, the team spirit and the ethos they demonstrated throughout the event, proving once again the dynamics of Junior Achievement’s business education programmes.

The visit of the Consul of the Republic of Cyprus to Austria, Mr. Charalambos Stylianou, was a special honor, who visited the stands of the Cypriot teams and congratulated the students for their effort and creativity.

The participation of Cypriot teams in the JA International Marketplace 2026 is an important opportunity for young people to develop skills such as entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, collaboration, and active citizenship. At the same time, it highlights the important work carried out by the teachers who implement the Junior Achievement programmes in schools.

Two of the student teams won important awards and we are extremely proud. The student company Lemonaid of Engomi Gymnasium won the ‘Sustainability Award’ and NextStep from the English School the ‘Build What Matters with Responsible AI’ Award.

It is worth noting that when JA Cyprus started participating in European events, only two groups of students were traveling abroad. Today, for the 2025–2026 school year, a total of 11 groups of students, with more than 55 young people, will participate in European events and educational experiences abroad.

Junior Achievement Cyprus would like to express its warm thanks to the Partners who have always supported its programmes and contribute to the creation of meaningful opportunities for the youth of Cyprus: ExxonMobil, Lidl Cyprus and the Research and Innovation Foundation.

For more information you can visit www.jacyprus.org website or contact info@jacyprus.org
