The final competition and the award ceremony of the Annual Competition “mind REsetters of the Year 2025 \u2013 2026” organized <\/strong>for the 5th year by the organization Junior Achievement Cyprus on <\/strong>February 13 13:00 \u2013 17:00, at the building of POED, was \u00a0completed with great success.<\/strong><\/p>\n The event was open to all those interested in discovering the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of the promising new generation. The final competition was the culmination of the efforts of more than 300 students, aged 10-14, who have created innovative products and services.<\/p>\n The event was honored by the presence of a large number of people, as well as the Commissioner for the Environment, Antonia Theodosiou, who addressed a greeting.<\/p>\n At the event, the ten finalist student companies, out of the 62 created within the framework of the “mind REset” programme, presented their innovative business ideas publicly and in front of a specialized jury. 72 schools from all over Cyprus participated in the programme, with a total number of students 3684 <\/strong>with the support of more than 185 teachers.<\/p>\n The programme was implemented with the Strategic Partnership of Lidl Cyprus, with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth as an Institutional Partner and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n The student companies were created within the framework of the mind REset programme which is a fun and interactive programme for students of the fifth and sixth grades of primary school and the first and second grades of high school.\u00a0 In particular, students were asked to identify the consequences of food waste in our lives and to propose practical and sustainable solutions that will contribute to the protection and conservation of resources and the environment. At the same time, they had the opportunity to be introduced to the very interesting field of entrepreneurship and promote their own products and services. The students went from the idea stage, to the design and implementation.<\/p>\n For the final selection of the teams, the judges evaluated the quality of the presentation of their business idea, the quality of the exhibits and the stand and the quality of the presentation on stage and the answers they gave.<\/p>\n The two teams that were named Mind REsetters of the Year 2025-26, which won from an educational business experience in Austria are:<\/p>\n The company TIME2FRESH from the Primary School of Dasoupolis (K.B), <\/strong>offers innovative, rechargeable containers that fight food waste and save money. Through a screen and sensors available in the container, the expiration date and the remaining quantity of stored food, given in portions, are monitored, for the better organization of purchases and consumption. The members of the team are Panagiotis Poullou,\u00a0 Evangelos Economides, Maximos Christodoulou Economou, Anastasios Charilaou and Michael Savvidis, with their teacher, Kyriakos Pastidis.<\/p>\n The company LEMONAID from the Kyriakos Neocleous High School of Engomi<\/strong>, manufactures natural, ecological whitening tablets for washing machines. These tablets are produced from lemons that would end up in the trash. The members of the team are Antonis Hatziliasis, Eleni Michael, Konstantinos Konstantinou, Vassilis Panayidis and Stefanos Nikolaos Serdaris, with their teachers, Christiana Karapasii, Elena Neocleous and Eleni Karousiou.<\/p>\n Many congratulations to the other finalist teams who emerged through 62 teams from all over Cyprus!
