With great success, the seminar of the European project Cultural BEES took place on the 13th November 2025, at the Panos Solomonides Cultural Center in Limassol. The initiative aims to empower young people in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) through entrepreneurship.

Approximately 85 students from high schools across Cyprus had the opportunity to explore the richness of cultural heritage, get acquainted with the new digital Cultural BEES platform, and work in teams to develop innovative business ideas with a cultural and creative focus.

The participants created 15 initial ideas, which they presented in front of an audience, showcasing their imagination, creativity, and the importance of investing in youth as drivers of renewal in the cultural economy.

The ideas presented by the schools highlighted the students’ strong interest in cultural heritage and modern technology. From contemporary uses of traditional textiles and lace to new culinary variations of Cypriot delicacies, the students proposed solutions combining tradition with modern aesthetics. At the same time, many teams focused on the digital transformation of culture, proposing apps for promoting cultural events, exploration games, treasure hunt-type platforms, VR experiences, and experiential visit applications. These proposals demonstrate that Cypriot youth can successfully connect cultural heritage with modern entrepreneurial and technological thinking.
