The university years can act as a catalyst for students to discover their interests, build a network, gain new perspectives on the world and take risks, all factors critical to business success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior Achievement Cyprus (JA Cyprus) <\/strong>is pleased to announce the continuation of efforts to encourage business ideas and innovation, through the <strong>JA StartUp<\/strong> Programmeme, giving students the opportunity to develop their own company while acquiring skills that will help them in their career path.<\/p>\n<p>JA StartUp is a practical, experiential experience, through which participants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They learn to create and operate their own business,<\/li>\n<li>Understand and create business &amp; marketing plans, and<\/li>\n<li>They develop skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic planning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme <strong>is offered free of charge<\/strong> to all students, regardless of university, and is part of a pan-European network with <strong>20,000+ entries per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants have the opportunity to compete in the National Competition, where the 10 best teams present their business idea to a live audience and jury.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The winning team will have the honor to represent Cyprus at the largest entrepreneurship event in Europe, <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gen-e.eu\/\"><strong>Gen-E, <\/strong>which this year will take place in <strong>Riga, Latvia.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Through the programmes, students will receive full Business Education, important prizes, support from mentors from the business world, access to a platform with rich educational material, webinars by experts, networking opportunities and much more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The programme is supported by the company MetLife and the Research and Innovation Foundation.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To register, <a href=\"https:\/\/jacyprus.org\/en\/startup\/#tab-id-5\">fill out the form here,<\/a> until <strong>February 23, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For questions or more information, you can contact us at <a href=\"mailto:petros.kallenos@jacyprus.org\">petros.kallenos@jacyprus.org<\/a>\u00a0 or by calling +357-96911953.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior Achievement Cyprus is a member of the global Non-Profit Organization JA Worldwide and specializes in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and labor market education.\u00a0 More information can\u00a0 be found on <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jacyprus.org\"><strong>www.jacyprus.org website<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is never a &#8220;perfect time&#8221; to start a company, but there are the right opportunities to take the first step.
