Junior Achievement Cyprus (JA Cyprus), dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial ideas and promoting innovation, organizes the Final and Award Ceremony of the “JA StartUp 2024”<\/strong> programme, for the fifth year. With an unwavering commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs, this event is the culmination of the efforts of over 180 students, aged 18-30, and an excellent opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial skills.<\/p>\n

Through this programme, JA Cyprus not only cultivates the spirit of innovation, but also transfers vital business knowledge and practical skills to participants. The Final and Award Ceremony represent a crucial moment for these young entrepreneurs, as they recognise their hard work, determination and creative thinking. By celebrating their achievements, JA Cyprus inspires the next generation of leaders and businesses and creates an environment that encourages business excellence and growth in Cyprus.<\/p>\n

The Finale will take place on Monday 3 June 2024<\/strong> between the hours of 15:30 \u2013 19:00 <\/strong>at the ASBIS TECH CLUSTER in Limassol (1 Iapetou St., 4101, Ag. Athanasios). The event is open to the public by booking a seat at the link HERE<\/a> until 27\/05\/2024.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the event, 10 finalists from the 41 student startups created, will have the opportunity to present their innovative business ideas on stage and be evaluated through interviews by a Jury.\u00a0 All teams submitted their commercial video and business plan, which were evaluated by a jury to decide the 9 finalists, while the 10th team managed to secure their place through the Online Voting Challenge for the best video.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The StartUp programme provides students with the opportunity to create their own business, giving them an insight into how their talents could be used to establish businesses. Students gain real experience in the world of business: they find ideas for a business, create and research a business plan and take all the responsibilities for running a business. They also develop attitudes and skills necessary for personal success and employability, as well as for understanding how businesses operate.<\/p>\n

This year the programme was implemented with the participation of students from 8 Universities, with the support of 11 academics and 20 mentors.<\/p>\n

  9. Unbuzz \u2013 University of Cyprus<\/li>\n
  10. Wisely \u2013 American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The team that won the Online Voting Challenge is FaintAway.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The winning team will represent Cyprus in the European Competition of JA Europe, GEN-E 2024<\/a>, that will be held in July in Catania, Italy.<\/p>\n

    The programme is supported by ASBIS, MetLife and the Research and Innovation Foundation.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n
