Το συνέδριο προσφέρει μια μοναδική ευκαιρία σε ακαδημαϊκούς\, εκπαιδευτικούς\, ερευνητές\, επιχειρηματίες και φοιτητές/τριες να παρουσιάσουν το έργο τους\, να ανταλλάξουν ιδέες και να δικτυωθούν για μελλοντικές συνεργασίες στον τομέα της επιχειρηματικής εκπαίδευσης. During the Demo Day the five remaining teams present their businesses in front of an audience with the goal to expand their network and receive further opportunities to continue building their business and developing their product or service.

SUMMARY:JA StartUp Programme – Finale and Awards Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe JA StartUp Programme is an innovative educational programme which is implemented simultaneously in 500 universities across Europe\, yearly. The programme gives university students (18 to 30 years old) the opportunity to experience running their own company\, giving them an insight into how their talents could be used to set up a business for themselves. Students form teams of 3 to 5 members and for three months work on developing a business with the support of academics\, mentors and an online educational platform. At the end of the programme\, the 10 best teams across Cyprus present their businesses in the National Competition with a live audience and a jury committee. The winners represent Cyprus at Europe’s Largest Entrepreneurship Event\, Gen-E.

The programme is approved by the Ministry of Education\, Culture\, Sports and Youth. It introduces students to the intersection of work readiness and early elementary grades social studies learning objectives\, including how citizens benefit from and contribute to a community’s success.Following participation in the program\, students can describe a community\, identify the variety of careers people have in a community and how each job requires specific skills\, identify how business and government jobs help a community to explain how taxation supports government services\, recognize voting as a way responsible citizens act and describe the flow of money in a community’s economy. The programme includes five modules lasting 45 minutes each. The sections are presented in class by one volunteer – from PwC with the support of the teacher.

DESCRIPTION:The Innovation Camp is a programme offered by Junior Achievement Cyprus and implemented in cooperation with the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Partnership Schools Network. In the Innovation Workshop\, students gather to address a specific business challenge and propose ideas to address it. It is an intensive\, one-day experience for the students\, as they must propose a solution in a very limited amount of time with access to technology\, information and resources. Team members\, will have to adapt quickly and learn how to collaborate effectively. A presentation of the challenge and extensive information is given in order to provide them with some basic information about the context in which they are asked to work.

DESCRIPTION:The JA Innovation Camp is a one-day\, intensive experience that engages 50 Greek-Cypriot and 50 Turkish-Cypriot high school students with entrepreneurial and collaborative learning opportunities. All teams are presented with the same hypothetical challenge and are given the goal of finding a creative and innovative business solution to the challenge presented. DESCRIPTION:“Girls Go Circular”\, an online learning programme on the circular economy. The programmes is implemented through An online learning platform which includes multiple modules that impart digital skills while exploring the circular economy from different angles. While the activities proposed challenge students to use digital tools to complete assignments\, the focus on the circular economy provides knowledge about the big challenges of our time\, empowering students to become agents of change in the socio-ecological transition. \nIn this workshop we will explore ONE of the following topics: \n\nMetals and the circular economy\nFashion and Circular Economy\nRethinking plastics\nThe circular economy for smart phones and electronic devices\nE-waste and the circular economy\nRobotic and Circular Economy\nAddressing climate change through circular consumption\nCircular Food Economy in Cities\n\nIts duration will be 3 hours and at the end each student will receive her electronic certificate. All students who finish the program will be entered into a draw for a tablet or a voucher from an electronics store.

SUMMARY:Mind Reset Teachers’ Training
DESCRIPTION:mind REset is a fun and interactive programme\, for the students of 5th and 6th grade of Primary School and 1st and 2nd grade of Gymnasium. The modules of the programme aim to bring students into contact with the field of environmental entrepreneurship and to help them develop skills that will contribute to the protection and sustainability of the environment. During the Teachers’ Training\, the interested teachers will be educated in the content and methodology of the programme.

SUMMARY:Company Programme Mentors’ Training
DESCRIPTION:The Company Programme empowers students to turn their ideas and their dreams into actions. Students aged 15-18 years old have the opportunity to learn through practice how to leverage a viable business idea\, form their own company and create and sell their own products/services for a whole academic year. In doing so they have the guidance of their teacher and the support of a business mentor.  During the Mentors’ Training business volunteers are educated in the procedures and the activities of the programme as well as the values and the code of conduct of working with young people.
