On May 11 and 12 the students of the Preparatory Apprenticeship Schools in Nicosia and Limassol had the opportunity to participate in an entrepreneurship workshop organized by Junior Achievement Cyprus.
The program was implemented with the financial support of MetLife Cyprus Ltd and MetLife Foundation USA. MetLife employees assisted the student teams as mentors and through interactive exercises they helped the students understand basic business concepts and practice skills such as critical thinking and teamwork in decision-making. They also offered prizes and gifts to the participants.
MetLife, through its Life Changer program, supports Junior Achievement with the aim of enhancing information on financial issues, targeting young people with limited access to this kind of knowledge, in order to improve their economic prospects.
The Preparatory Apprenticeship School aims to enable teenagers aged 14-16 who have not completed high school to reintegrate into the education system and provide them with skills for the labor market.
